Default tranny question

i am thinking about getting a 90 lx five speed, its stock and its a one owner car. There is one strange thing about the transmission though, when shifting into 2nd the shifter wants to come out of gear and go into nuetral. you have to hold the shifter down and let of the clutch real slowly, what could be causing this and what could be done to fix it?

thats a syncro going out. you'd have to take the tranny out and put new ones in it, and depending on the milage it might be wise to get a whole rebuild on it. how much are they wantin for it
