Top speed with 3:73's
 

Does anybody know how much 3:73 gears will knock off the top end of the car? I assume it wouldn't make a huge difference, but...[sm=smiley13.gif].....? Thanks.

i have 4.10s and it didnt knock that much off i think there better off in the quarter mile anyways just my opinion

It shouldn't knock off much. I can make it past 120+ and I have 3.73s. Maybe one night, I'll have enough balls to top it out.

373 will help top end really. itll make 5 pull better. 5th wont even really pull with stock gears. you can get 120 out of 4th with 373 so..

yeah ever since i got my 4.10s i fell in love with them, all my buddys mustangs have them big difference over stock, i think i want to try some 3.73s or 3.90s sometime too so i know how they ffeel also

You shouldn't have a problem unless you have A LOT of open roads and no cops around. My friend could still (easily) hit 120 in his 94 Cobra w/ 4.10's

if u have the power to pull 5th gear it will go 175

Thanks for the feedback guys, I didn't think it would make much difference in the top end. And yeah, gears make a huge difference with the pull of the car.[sm=gears.gif]
