Default Chroming my Pony Rims?

My neighbor just opened a body shop. He said he bought a chroming machine and he has to send his son to Ohio or something to learn how to use it. He also said he would do my pony rims. He said it wasn't dipping but I don't know the other system. Something with nickel or something. Is this system good. Should I worry about chips or some sort of drips. Especially that they are just learning the machine. Or is this something that if you learn it one time it's not hard to mess up. I'm sure I will get them done for almost nothing but I don't want to buy another set of rims either. Any suggestions?

Well tell him you want them done for free and you will promote him to all your friends if he does a good job. That should give him some motivation! lol

try to find a spare pony rim and let him do it, and if it looks good have him do the rest. you could end up with a chrome spare.

Why dont you go to the junkyard... get any kind of wheel and have him chrome it. See how you like it and if you think that he does a good job than let him do them. I dont know how you could do a bad job though if your chroming a whole wheel.
