yes and i was floating bad with only .512 lift...they are ok i just don't like them..sorry for my op....yes i have 185's.

you were floating bad with the standard springs? They say the recomend upgrading the springs to the stronger ones to avoid float above 5800rpm...

So if i run the pedestal mount heads with 6.25 hardened pushrods I shouldnt have any problems?

if youve had your block decked or something that would change the heighth of your block, then it's always best to check the length. A pushrod length checker is only like $10 bucks or so if you didn't feel comfortable spending money on new pushrods without knowing the correct length.

I just bought stock length comp cam hardened pushrods, but I'll be running stud mount rockers. Get a pushrod length checker.

I'll be running the comp cams XE274HR that has .555 .565 lift and just bought the recommended springs from Comp. My heads will be here on wednesday...

Be prepared to wait at least a month for your AFR heads, but it'll be worth it.

Yeah AFR said its more like 6 weeks right now, but thats what I get for waiting so long.

I guess I dont understand what different length pushrods accomplish. If im puttin the 165 heads on my stock block is there any reason I should need a different length?

Some heads may have a slightly different height or angle... BTW, stock length is 6.272", so the 6.25's are shorter than stock by a little.....
