Yea you definatly have to take it up a little, im pretty sure the power band is from like 3400rpm- 5500rpm(at least what I have experienced from my car). Im not a ford tech or anything but that is usually where I see my power and then when you shift the next gear after taking it to 5500 its right up at 33-3400 Rpm.

Ok, I misunderstood what gears were I guess. I would love a RWD muscle car but can't afford one so I'm stuck with my 4 cylinder(maybe an RX7 soon!!!). I'll get him to race me with him driving his car and me driving mine to see what happens there. I wasn't shifting very high because I don't want to beat on my friends car and I don't think he was shifting mine very high either for the same reason. Thanks for the help.

is it any different for 94-95 5.0 cobra motors?

They go into valve float at about 5100 rpm, I have seen it on more than one dyno graph. Going to 5500 rpms will not feel like it loses power but it really does'nt pull either.
