Just installed some mods - Something not right.
I have a 91 LX with 30,000 miles. This car was totally stock including rubber and ran well. Just installed Trick Flow Street Heat engine kit TFS-K514-350-370B. Kit includes twisted wedge heads, Upper & lower intake, cam, pushrods, roller rockers ..ect. Also added BBK- equal length shorties, BBK-off road X pipe, DynoMax super turbos, BBK-cold air kit, FMS-24lb injectors, Granatelli mass air calibrated for 24lb inj and cold air, BBK- 70mm throttle body & spacer, BBK-255 lph fuel pump, BBK-fuel pressure regulator, BBK-under drive pulleys, MSD coil, FMS-9mm wires, FMS- king cobra clutch, Flex-A-Lite black magic extreme electric fan kit, subframe connectors,& 3.55 gears. The problem is that the car is stumbling on acceleration, popping through the intake, and appears to be very lean. Base timing was verified, however advancing the timing a ridiculous amount seems to clear up the stumble somewhat. TPS adjustment has been verified and there are no vacuum leaks. Fuel pressure set at 36lb. Any ideas on what to look for???

The distributor is installed correctly and the jumper was removed when the timing was verified. The car can be driven moderately with no troubles, but you can't drive the car aggressively at all.

Well I have nearly exactly that same combo you listed with minor differences and I had the exact same problem when I first got it running. My problem was Fuel Pressure, I know you said you tested it with no difference, but how are you checking it? Vacum on or off?
Also you say the distributor is set correctly, what is your base timing set at. Found out mine ran best with 12-13 degrees advanced base time.
Ok one more thing and im done, while checking your FP make sure that there isnt a dramatic drop in FP when you give it a lot of throttle, supposivly it shouldnt drop more than 5psi at WOT, (correct me if im wrong, thats just what the book said). I know you have a big enough fuel pump but there could be something holding it back, while I was curing my issue I had correct fuel pressure, but my pump wasnt putting out enough at WOT causing it to Lean pop. Just a few ideas for ya, hope it helps
