so i just picked up a 77 cobra. its my second stang, but my first was brand new off the lot lol so ive never had to restore anything. so the exhaust doesnt sound terrible, but im sure it needs atleast a new y pipe and muffler, its all original.

question 1 - can i turn it into a true dual relatively easily? anyone ever done this? what mufflers should i use, in your opinion?

question 2 - if i stick with one and a y, what muffler in your opinion again?

just trying to get some opinions from people since im new to the whole restoration bit. thanks, be ready for more questions as i start getting more into her.

Those are cool stangs, When I was in my teens a Friend had a White with blue strips cobra with a 302, man was that car was a little rocket for its time!
Good luck and glad to see people starting to give these little Mustang the respect that they deserve! Start buying the NOS parts now! Prices will go through the roof soon.

yeah i got the 302, and unfortunately an auto but i got such a good deal i wasnt gonna be picky. and its got t-tops which is sweet.

i have a few pics, ill post them up, plus ill post up during restoration also.

He's not talking about nitrous oxide! NOS stands for (to the non-ricer) new old stuff, it's original replacement parts that are still in the box. Let's see some pictures and some video, I heard that the Mustang II's were dogs for performance, prove me wrong!
