Default UNREAL

well i am about two hours away from having my car done(mods listed) after 6 months, and im putting on my valve cover and the fuggin bolt breaks off in the head---i about crapped my pants.....am i screwed or can it be fixed? anyone ever have this happen?

New head and a new bolt? Might not be as bad as you think. Try using a small pic or the like. I've gotten alot of them out like that.

yea ill try something just pisses me off i built from the lower intake up and was putting the covers on before finishing up and this crap happens[:@]

if its a clean break take a hole punch and make a nice dent in the center of the stud. Then take a real thin bit and drill a hole about a quarter of an inch down. The take a reverse screw and thighten down until it comes out.

Or walk the screw with the hole punch. You need to make a dent on one of the sides of the screw and slant the punch then use the hammer to unwind the screw. Its tedious but once you get it outside the lip your home free.

For that size "sears" also makes a "remover" You still need to center punch it to get the bit started but it is a screw remover set that you use in a drill. I have had good luck with it for small, low-torque situations. Other than that those things previously posted should also work.
