although i still have my stock timing, i put 93 octane. It runs smoother and I get better MPG. I'll bump up my timing as soon as i get a timing light

i put 93 also, but with the gas prices going up here in miami,Fl, its getting crazy, especially since im having to fill up alomost every 2days

come on tim quit whoring...we are suppose to be unclogging the bunghole here with repeats.


tealmonster search for octane...and our 5.0 section reader freindly stickies...by the way welcome to the site....anything above 89 is fine...if stock run 87...just beware of carbon build up= detonation.

91 is the best I can manage, Cali has the worst gas.

5.0s with stock timing can run 87 octane. thats what there meant to run.
