Default Main Crankshaft Bearings...?

Ok so I found this 1990 fox body 5.0 five speed for $1000 about half an hour away from me. A guy about 50-60 years old owns the car and now he is selling it. It's got an electric radiator, electric fan, high performance plugs and wires, new o/r hpipe exhaust with flowmasters.... Only thing is the guy says it needs new main crankshaft bearings...

Where could I find main crankshaft bearings? I've looked and can't find any.

Thanks, Taylor.

that means the motor is toast prolly, clevite 77 are the best bearings. summit, jegs, any performance shop. local auto parts. you can get them anywhere.

True, but I bought a 351w for it that i'm going to be making a 408 stroker. I just wanted to drive it already and see how it is.

Thanks for the advise though, autozone carries clevites for 31.99

Auto-zone sells crap, buy the bearings from anybody except those clowns.
Better pull the old ones first so that you'll know what size you need too.
I'd get some plasti-gage while I was at the parts store so I'd know what my clearances were.......

Actually autozone doesn't sell crap. They sell the clevites for 31.99.

I know that you have to pull the engine out and tear it down to put them in, but when you say they are easy to put in.. how easy is easy..?
