can you elaborate? Why are they junk? I guess i'll get the mac cause it's pretty obvious everyone has em and likes em.

F*** mac exhaust. i've got mac unequal shorties and mac xpipe --- the xpipe has cracked and i've welded it up TWICE in 2 different spots. i think the welds are the strongest part on the pipe now --- i've had the exhaust on my '88 since july of last year, put 5k miles on it, and the headers are almost completely rusted already. i've kept the header bolts tight, stayed away from rainy days -- the pipes just SUCK.
~~~ do NOT buy mac. i'm gettin bbk as soon as i can afford to spend money on exhaust.
i feel better after saying all that
I'm running FRPP shorties--before they were stainless...DOH!!!!
Here's the breakdown. I don't like Mac b/c the primaries are not connected. If you take them off for anything...have fun putting them back on. BBK and FRPP make high quality shorties. BBK chrome will turn black and blue b/c that's what chrome does in heat. BBK ceramic shorties are good to go and ceramic headers hold in heat better (good for exhaust) and dissipate outside heat a little better. FRPP's headers are stainless steel. The ceramic set is Jethot coated. Livernoismotorsports.com has the FRPP ceramic shorties for $289<--cheap. When looking at the differences in headers, look at the gauge steel they are made from....usually cheaper headers are 18 gauge=crap.
arent bbk equals a lot harder to install than unequals? i'm going to get bbk ceramics but i was going to get unequals to make the install easier. is the extra couple HP worth the pain in the ***?
