Default MSD Blaster TFI Coil, Part # 8227

I just installed the MSD Blaster TFI Coil, Part # 8227 on my 5.0 today. Ended up spending a little bit less than $40 thanks to a friend who works at Autozone. Anyways, after starting the motor I noticed a buzzing/ticking noise inside the cabin. I traced the noise in the engine compartment down to the new coil. It's like I can hear the individual sparks that it is putting out. Are these normally pretty noisy? It isn't affecting the radio and is not audible once the radio is turned on. Has anyone experienced this before?

By the way, if anyone is going to install one take my advise. Don't take the mounting bracket off the chassis (the part that has three large bolts. Just undo the 4 small bolts that go through the heat sink. With all the wiring in the way, once of the large bolts is very difficult to put back in with the coil attached.

It seems like the recent ones that MSD produced are doing that, I put the MSD Blaster TFI on also last week and it does that. Don't worry about it, it's just electrical current moving through a coil that's putting out more voltage.

sweetness... Considering its nature, I figured it would make more noise than stock. I just didn't think it would be real noticeable in the cabin. I won't worry about it then unless I see the engine temp. start climbing.

Thanks for the quick responses!

LOL! I thought that the Crane Fireball ps 91 shouldn't be used with a stock ignition? See this link.
