Default Carb, intake, cam, heads, valve springs

Im rebuildin my stock motor and boring it out to a 306. I dont have alot of money to buy everything new but what should i run for a good combo for all of these parts. i want the car to have a real mean idle, rough but still have performance.
Any suggestions?

Well,
The cam depends on the heads, intake, car weight, gear etc etc
The valve springs depend on the cam
The carb depends on the whole thing

Not much help I know, but it's a whole combonation. Not just individual parts.

I'm doin GT40P's, B303 cam, Weiand Stealth intake, FRPP headers, holley 600CFM vac sec, did'nt break the bank and should perform well, final upgrade will be a 150 or 200 horse shot of juice. 5sp and 3.73's are in place.

this is everything u need for a good start thats pretty much all ur bolt onts besides exhaust and a few other things if ur still in need of more power.. theirs always gears, suspension to do then power adders such as supercharger/ turbo

thats about the worst thing to recommend to him. if you are going to suggest a kit, of any kind, at least make sure it is for a carbd setup.

what meiguoren said was about spot on for a build that shows good performance without breaking your wallet. the only thing i would change about it is getting a custom grind cam after everything else.

well i didnt kno he had a carb setup .. and i think that kit isnt too much of a wallet breaker for what all it offers but then agian my income and others may vary so i apologize.. just figured id post that up becasue all those parts in that kit work together and thats pretty much what i guess he described as a good combo so i figured id throw that out their

but then agian i just noticed the top of this thread said carb haha well my fualt srry

I liked the B cam cause .480" lift, I heard the P's flow worse over .500" of lift. The duration was about right for a nice rump rump idle and strong mid range. What really clinched it was a guy here had the B cam with a few hours use for $110, so I grabbed it. But, I did wonder if a FI cam would work as good as a custom grind for carbed applications.
