Art, I haven't had any problem w/ that set up in mine. Although I have a trunk. The purpose of the sealed vented box is for the fumes. Well the gel filled there are none. So, I don't know about that one.

hey i tried...and it cost me less than $60 bucks..wood/screws/vinle/sub/amp wires/glue....my other skills are better.

did they tell you that you need a kill switch or just that your box doesnt seal? I think the kill switch is for a certain speed/ET or maybe its all non oem trunk mounted batteries... i forget but I'll ask the officials at the track on Fri.
