Got my new #19lb injectors today that i bought off a guy with a 1998 4.6 with 50,000 miles on them to swap with my leaky old 19's. Since we have no place to work on our cars at the University i drove down to the parking lot down by the bottom of my dorm. I got to work taking off the upper intake manifold unbo;ting and unpluging everthing. It was funny cause people were walking by looking at motor parts sitting on a towel near the side of my car. Anyways i unclipped the fuel rail and pulled out the nastiest injectors ive seen, the new ones looked brand new! I plugged the new ones in and put every thing back together in about an hour and started it up, it idled strange for a few seconds and smoothed out after afew good revs. Did everthing perfectly and my car dosent smell like gasoline in the interior anymore! Now a beer for a job well done!

way to go Shantymac! hope you did all this work under a big shade tree! lol I would recommend you change the fuel filter just for grins since you don't want to gunk up the injectors again, and maybe change the brand of gas you've been using if they were that dirty! drink another beer for me! good job!

4.6 injectors are the same as the 5.0s?

You seen a difference with the new injectors? What else do you have done to your 5.0? I know how it is working in parking lots, I replaced my rear shocks in the parking lot here at my school at the beginning of last semseter. It was a good time. Probably one of not too many students here with a floor jack in my closet.
