I was just going to get a regular fan from the local junkyard but all the 5.0s they had were autos and you can't run an auto fan in a manual, so he gave me that crappy elec fan

Whats going on Tim?

I got my 130 alt upgrade done, the old alternator was the issue for the overnight battery power drain. I love the 130, it was very easy to do the upgrade too once I was clear on what I needed. A lot of the alt upgrade instructions make things sound harder than it is.

Anyways, i just purchased a taurus 3.8L electric for a junkyard. The cheapest i found was $40 total. I dont know where people are getting them for $20. On ebay they go for at least $50+shipping. The only article I know of on the fan upgrade is this one, Junkyard Fan. After reading that I too want to know how the car will run hotter with this electric fan? Also, they said that they were getting a significant increase in fuel mileage.

ARE THERE ANY OTHER ARTICLES OR HOW TO's ON A MUSTANG ELECTRIC FAN UPGRADE?

5.0, I see you posted the same link while I was doing the same.

5.0MPG, did you do exactly as those instructions said? I was thinking about buying a dcc electic fan kit. I dont know where locally I can even get the hayden fan parts they mention in the article. I called my autozone guy, he was clueless. I would like to know if the parts in the article are as good as the dcc units?
