Looks like something Ford made to show off at dealers show room floor
but never put into production, and the dealers were probably supposed to return them.

but car dealers being what they are will sell anything if you wave enough money at them
so a few made it out onto the streets. there have been other "dealer special" cars from time
to time over the years.

ive never heard of that... but i have seen the 95 convertable hard top on ebay before.

You're kidding, right? I never knew it either until one of my instructors at school brought his socalled 'racecar' to school. I see it and say..."uhh..." So he tells me the story of the Cobra R. It is in fact built on a convertible chassis. It makes up for the extra weight with no options. Just your driving controls. The cobra R is actually a fantastic machine. Never, ever saw one in person since then. Let alone ride in it!

dude thats not a cobra r! 95 cobra r's come with 351w all were hardtop and all were white so please show me where u get ur info. and there were only 200 ever made.

I wasn't saying that was an R. I was using the Cobra R as a reference. Everyone knows the '95 R so it was perfect. Here let me make up a little thing to show you.

Well nevermind...cant make a thing to show you. But the cobra r was basically a convertible hard top. Built on a convertible chassis.
