Holy ****, just read that article... Definately buying a set of AFR 165's this winter.... Need an intake too... but damn, with the mods I've already got... according to their results... I should be pushing at least 425... doesn't seem possible but I guess we'll see.

I'm gonna need better tires.

Personally, I use wolverine/blueracer (if theyre still around), and crane custom grinds. Anyone need a 10krpm cam and lifters?

Best bang for your buck is a good set of heads. Ive told ppl that for YEARS, and they still always go with the gear/exhaust/cam route first...

u want to go gears and exhaust. then do h/c/i at one time. GEARS in a fox are the best bang for the buck

Haha I know I won't, im just going by their standards aha. Got mac CAI, C&L 73mm MAF (24lbs... gotta get around to getting 24lbs injectors one of these days...), Holley 70mm TB, BBK 70mm EGR Spacer, B303 Cam (that was just a temporary choice, guy ordered me the wrong one so i said whatever, wanted to get the motor in the car, wanted the F303), Smog gone, E-Fan, 1.7 rollers on the way, ported intake to match heads myself, mac shorty equals (1 5/8"), brand new exhaust from headers back, no cats w/ custom H-Pipe w/ flowmasters & 3 inch exhaust all the way back, and I think that may be it to the motor, don't even remember anymore. Beyond the motor lies 73mm calipers, 5.0 Pro shifter, 3.55's w/ new posi unit, dumped that retarded vibration dampener on the rear-end (took one off my friends car today as well) and cant forget about the 5-bolt conversion That may be it as far as mechanical mods go, but once again, I'm just not sure anymore, so many little things have been changed in the process of stripping this car it's hard to keep track. The car has never seen the road yet so that's my priority.

Sorry about the long paragraph crap aha, too lazy to sort it.

haha its kool, well im around 289's 302's 347's and 351w's all the time, my uncle has a scca vintage shelby race car. and in his class u can run 289-347. if u have a very well built 302 it will make 380-400 at the tires. but thats 12.5 comp pistons over .600 lift cam, very long duration. Heads ported to the max. its very hard to get 400hp out of a 302. they are not very streetable.

yah, I know how retarded it sounds that much power from an N/A 302, I'm just goin by their standards, I have more done to my car than they had done to that thing so in theory I should make more power than that. Im not so ignorant to say it's gonna happen, I've spent my whole life around cars, there's no way in hell am I gonna be makin more power per CI than a 426, because their ratio is what? around 1.25hp per CI ish with higher compression and a better combustion chamber.

Imma just dreamin wishin I could make that much power from an N/A engine, I'm not a fan of power adders. IMO power adders are for cars that don't have any go in the first place, but last time I checked, 302's had some go and a hell of a lot of potential

Oh yah, and I'd definately be going with the non-smog legal 165s, fore they don't check any of that here so a bit more power there.

If everything was right with the 302, real right, I wouldn't be surprised to see that kind of power or more ath flywheel.
I know what my 306 makes at the flywheel and It's somewhat more than 400 but it's carbed and has custom grind solid roller in it too.....
It would also not ever be a streetable engine either.......

So I'm torn here. I hear 300...350...has anyone on here bought the street heat top end kit?

When I do the H/C/I swap...I'm going to put in a beefier radiator and some gears. But gears I'm not too familiar with. Would 3.55, 3.73, 4.10 be good? One better than the other. The car is still going to be my streeter for a while. So...it looks like it's going to have

70mm TB
75mm MAF
190LPH fuel pump
24lb injectors
stock airbox (or should I invest in a fenderwell?)
twisted wedge heads
stage 1 cam
roller rockers
hardened rods
street heat intake up/low
BBK shorties
MAC prochamber
flowmaster 40's.

I'm thinking this setup is good for at LEAST 350 to the ground, right?

Plus the gears. Boy am I going to be in for a DRAMATIC performance difference...lol.
