A friend of mine was looking into getting a 84 gt350 that has a 306 in it. What do those do in the 1/4? He said the guys best time N/A was a 12.7, and I was just seeing if that is on the fast or slow end. Also, is there anything he should check for if he gets this car? It is like $5k.

ummm...so should he not get it or what? I know its not stock. It is a completely new engine with 24k on it. and what will it run in the 1/4?

nah theres no way. just a .030 overbore cant do much-nothing. it has to either be built some or hes a fibber

Well the friend rode in it and said it was faster than his 13.4sec 1/4 eclipse. It may be built, I don't know all the details, but could you get it with that times on a H/C/I swap?

oh yea, no prob with h/c/i. it has to have more work than that though. when you stroke on to 347 you only get like 40 some odd horses. so 306, maybe 5 or 10, depending on quality of parts and build
