What are these vacuum lines that have been cut?

Well with no vacuum on the egr it stays open. If it stays open, exhuast is constantly recerculated back into the intake which will lean out the mixture and lead to a lean misfire, extreme combustion chamber temps, and detenation.

wrong it stays closed. the egr needs vac to open it.

I guess its different then obd II cars then. Plus theres like 5 different valves for obd II. They don't keep me trained on obd I.

Tim, would I fail emissions for sure the way it is?


Also you know where I'm supposed to route that white vaccum line(if it werent cut where would i plug the other side into?)

i would of done it but dark here and mine is different then that now from my lines breakin i just replaced with rubbber hose on mine

well that makes sense then i just had to replace mine the plastic lines where britle and snap while i was chnging plugs
