So today i was doing some tinkering and I was trying to figure out why my belt was squealing hardcore. Well it took a few minutes, but somehow my bolt that holds the bottom of my smog pump/alternator/tensioner bracker had broken off in the block. So the bracket was sagging real real bad. so now I had to get that hard *** screw to get out and take off the bracket and use an easy out. First time an easy out ever worked for me though. Put it back, and then realized that my tensioner had froze up. So I tried what I could and got it moving, but its not consistant. One damn thing after anther.
but On a lighter note, I reset my system by undoing the battery for 5 mins. I adjusted my TPS and got it at .981 volts, then clocked my mass air, then set the idle where its satying pretty steady around 1000.
So basically I went from doing a little tinkering to a few hours worth of work!!!
Just thought I should share fellas.

junkyard for the tensioner. I believe the 4 cyl's are the same as 5.0

theres plenty of v8's in the ye=ard id say. thats what all the leadfoots drive good to hear the tune helped you out though. my tensioner is squallin like hela. i need to replace it before it locks too
