Default dyno day results

the local club had a dyno day today, so i finally got to see how many horses im putting down. it was on a mustang dyno, that also had a full tree for simulated ¼ mile runs.

my best dyno pull showed 194.1 hp at 4973rpms, 239.4 ft/lbs at 3371rpm

this was the first time i did any kind of ¼ mile run, simulated or not.
rt: 1.041
60': 1.48
330': 5.76
1/8th: 9.24
1000': 12.16
¼: 14.66 @ 90.73 mph

so i guess its time for me to go buy some long tube headers and give it dual exhaust. ive got a new roller cam being made right now, should be here by the 20th, im betting those changes will improve performace significantly

I use one of those dynos all the time, his 1/4 and 1/8 numbers look right on but the 60' foot is not right. But good numbers and Mustang Dynos are fun machines

lol, id say. thats a heck of a 60. prolly measures it as if it had the perfect launch too or something. i pray for a 1.5 60, hopefully this year, maybe.

everybody was turning damn good 60' times. i figure thats the one factor that you cant simulate without having the rubber on the pavement

yea, it would be tuff to silulate that one. a 1.48 sounds like a perfect takeoff with the time it gave you so it prolly dont factor in any spin at all.

NHRA Super Street totally prepped cars run about 1.46-1.48 with a trans brake, lotsa gears and lotsa tire.
They run 10.90 for there index..
Think something was a tick off with that machine. Sounds like fun.........
