MAF is a necessary part of your car... you just have to choose ont eh size. If you have a relatively small MAF (70mm and smaller) you can use the fenderwell mount intake. But if you want a bigger MAF (say 80mm like me ) you shouldn't use the fenderwell mount because it creates turbulence and the sensor gets a bad reading right after that curve, it happened to me...

I would keep the engine mount intake. More air is better than a lesser amount of cooler air, plus the cooler air isn't that much cooler once the car is running for a while..

Keep it like that... Get a c&l inlet tube and a 70mm throttle body and youll be set for the easy stuff.

I just put on the 75mm MAF already in there, waiting on my intake manifold to finally come in so i can put on my new 70mm EGR spacer and 70mm Throttle body.

So don't go with a fenderwell cai?
If i had it going into my fenderwell and cleared it so it gets air from around the passenger side foglight, would that be ok for it?
remember, 75mm MAF, 70mm TB/EGR

You will get more power with out that bend into the fender, it screws up the sensors readings, but go ahead and try, I just don't you think youll like it... make sure the opening into the fender is bigger than 75mm or you waisting that 75mm MAF and created even more turbulence which will give you an even worse reading...

So should I go back to what it was originally with the air box leading down to the front bottom left grill?
Then i just cant drive it in the rain?
Or could I get some sort of screen for it to prevent water?
