ok im trying to decide which cam to go with. I want a street and strip cam. My budy has a e303 and i like the sound of it. I will have a set of heads that will flow around 277 at 600 lift. I have a 86 gt with 1.7 rocker and stock pistons so my clearance will be an isue. i will have the pistons cut for releif though. i plan on maybe later running nitrous so take that into consideration. I have heard that the e303 cam is the best for street and strip for 302

I NEVER LIKER THE FORD SINGLE PATTERN CAMS. I WOULD CALL COMP OR CRANE TECHLINT THEY WILL RECOMEND A CAM FOR YOUR EXACT COMBO

I also avoid the motorsport cams. Back when the 5.0 performance market was scarse, all there was was the motorsport cams. Now-a-days, there is much better technology, and much better performance to be had.

For an off the shelf cam, i recommend the Trick Flow series cams. They address the weak points of the exhaust flow that most ford engines have by giving the exhaust side more lift and duration than the intake side, unlike for motorsport cams.

youll have a better sound with the tf st1 cam. cheaper too i think, i know its around the same price.

i had the B303 cam in my first 5.0 back in '95 and loved it ... my buddy just build a '65 fastback with a 347 and E303 in it ... and while i pulls good ... i dunno' ... just not the cam for me.

now, when i do the upgrade on my current 5.0 i'm gonna' go with the TF stage 1 (maybe stage 2 if i get really crazy) b/c the sound of that cam is sick and if you've looked at any dyno pulls of that cam ... the profile is really sweet. [8D]

i say TF for the win.

im going to go with the tf or somthing compariable like a custom cam. so can anyone tell me if the link above is the stage 1 cam.
