RE: im sooo pissed off now
yea.. i have several ideas. you need to know how to use a test light or DVOM. You also need a wiring diagram of the circuit and knowledge of how to use one. Electrical is not something i recomend if you dont know how. you can get lucky with a part swap but sometimes it takes more than that. When people bring there car to me at the dealership because of an electrical problem, they dont want to hear that it may take several hours of diag to find the problem. They dont understand the DIAG IS THE FIX. Sorry for venting that. Ok so the connector to the switch will have to be probed for power and ground. Any car with a computor I normaly use a DVOM. If you probe the wrong wire with a test light it can cause problems. The power wires(normally about 12 gauge yellow, red,or orange) should always have power at any key posision. Just put black test probe to neg. battery and probe the power wires in the back of the connector with the red probe. Should have 12 volts or more at those. when key is turned to START the wire that goes from that ignition connector to the solinoid relay should now have power. tou can test this at the relay too. Well i can sit here and type electric diag for hours. Good luck and i hope this helps.
