66 coupe convertible has straight 6,want to swap it out with a 302 but dont want to deal with the wole computer swaping issue,how would i go about turning it into a carburated motor and will it fit,what will i need to make this a success

you wont need a computer for a carb setup. just put a different intake on and drop it in. wire up your sensors to after market guages. shouldnt be too hard.

thanks for the replys,ok so I found a 302 out of a 68 mustang,now will the 6 cyl transmission work with the 302 engine or no? if not will a c4 bolt up? also will the driveshaft thats in it work or not and where do I get these frame mounts from? thanks

a c4 will bolt up. i dunno about the drive shaft though. your best bet would be finding someone who had a 66 with a factory v8 that theyre parting out.
