ok this question may have been asked already but i dont know so i have a set of gt40 heads that say gt on the top corner and have three lines on the backside and the frontside and they are iron are they gt40s or gt40p's?

I think you have the gt40's not the P's.My P's has 4 lines and say "GTP" on the corner

I have a mustang performance book that says that GTP's will have "GTP" stamped into the end of one of the heads. They showed a pic of it; it is stamped in and at an angle.

There ya go. You can see the ribs that should tell you they are "P's" if you have the same count of ribs. You can also see the "GTP" cast into the head down by the injectors.

mine must be real gt40s cuz they only have three lines and on says gt on the head and has the number 66 on the top corner
