Oil in Radiator

I've got a 93' with oil in the radiator. Usually with a blown head gasket it would be water in the oil. It's an automatic and I thought it could be from the transmission line going into the radiator but the fluid is ok.
Anyone have this trouble before, or have any input as to where its coming from. (It is a 4 banger, but I didn't get any hits
from the 6,4 turbo forum.)

Cracked head, older 2.3's are prone to head and gasket failure. Remove head and have it checked for cracks.

No it doesn't smell gassy, but it is frothy and kinda brown.

Well I found the problem, trany cooler in the radiator had a leak. I pulled the lines off and put some air to it and saw little tiny bubbles. I'm so glad it wasn't the head gasket.
Thanks for all the info.
