Default rear main leak

last fall i put in a king cobra clutch kit, and at the same time changed my rear main seal. for some reason my rear main is leaking so my clutch is slipping. my question is do you guys think i can use the same clutch when i change my rear main again? i only put like 1000 miles on my clutch and less than half of that was while it was slipping. some people have told me to just clean it up with some brake clean and check out how worn it is. what should i do?

that;s exactly what i was going to tell you to do. clean it as well as you can and then see if it's worn or looks ****ed up some way then decide.

No doubt this is what you should do. With 1,000 or so miles on the car since you last replaced the clutch, unless you completely hammered the clutch, even with the rear main leaking, I'd think the clutch would still ahve some life in it.

clean it up the best you can with brake cleaner...more than likely you glazed the friction surfaces so make sure you have then resurfaced and you should be fine
