Default Losing Oil Pressure

Hey does anyone have any ideas why i would loose oil pressure after driving about 30 minutes?Car holds pressure great and then drops off to the floor. Thanks for advice and ideas .Stinger--->[&o]

the viscosity of the oil goes down when it heats up, i don't know if that's it.

Have to agree here, but just want to add that I recommend a mechanical oil pressure gauge, not an electronic one. A mechnical one is more accurate, is isn't affected by electrical problems (except for the light).

ok thanks for advice but any ideas what might be causing it to drop like that?think maybe pump is going out?

My mustang did that as well before i did the rebuild and got the new oil pump. It could be your pump or bad seals. does your car use oil? try a thicker oil.

Yea i think thats a good idea ,im just gonna replace the pump.I just like to trouble shoot problems,especially when things just go out like that. ill repost to let you all know if the pump fixs the problem.

In my 89 Ikinew I was low on oil when the guage went down. Check your oil, change it with a thicker oil maybe. If not then replace the guage and possibly the pump.
