i have an 87 speed density 5.0. the tranny is being rebuilt with heavy dutty clutches , shift kit, 2,200 stall converter!!
that 2200 is a complete waste of time and money. you wont even be able to notice the difference over stock. might help .1 seconds in the quarter mile but dont count on much.....please dont tell me its a b&m
Let it go into OD and as you press the gas you'll see the RPMS go up slightly with no MPH change ie it will be slipping slightly. Sounds weird but when my first AOD lost 4th gear that was the clue.

I have pretty good luck with the Transgo, they have been making shift kits since 1959. DId you have a bad experience with a transgo? I have had three of them so far... no problems.
no not bad exp just i rebuild transmissions everyday and the directions are crappy and i feel that superior has a far better shift kit superior bought out fairbanks and fairbanks was around forever
