RE: spool or gear differential???
Ya i second no "lock wrongs"... i've owned 3 and at one time or another all 3 broke springs or teeth. When they go you have no pulling tires either. Would really be bad in a car.
Hey Grimace what do you wheel? I've done several jeeps and 2 yota pickups.

Detroit Truetrac from what i hear is the best way to go... i am about to add one into my car when i jump to 31's. i know a lot of people running them, and have been for many hears without a problem.

RE: spool or gear differential???
ikeybmg, the one thing that no one discussed is your proposed use of 70/30 drag shocks. It is my understanding that this would be very dangerous in street driving and could result in the loss of control. I have heard that the best combination for street/strip are 90/10's in front and 50/50's in the rear. Anyone else have thoughts on this?
