Underdrive pulley Help!
The last time I replaced my pulleys, about 10 years ago I did not put the alternator pulley on because it gave some problems with the battery. So i'm just going to put on the Harmonic and Water pump. My question is does anyone know the size belt to use??? Remember, this is without the Alternator pulley installed. I remember going on alot of trips to the auto store to find the right one. Thanks.

I just did the same thing, crank and water pump pulley, I said **** the alt. pulley, it's a pain in the ass and it causes issues. But anyways, the stock belt did fine but I didn't feel safe with it on there so I went 1 inch shorter and it is a PERFECT fit. I got mine from parts plus, Napa also carries lots of different sized belts.

No, don't worry about it, just go into your parts store and tell them that you need a belt for your mustang that's 1 inch shorter than stock, they'll help you out.
