Will I regret buying a '95 gt?
Hello all, new guy here. I had an '85 gt several years back and got rid of it.[:@] Now it's time for me to get back in the game. I was pretty well set on finding an '89-'93 gt but now I'm considering a black 95gt with gray leather interior. My question is this car going to be too much of a hassle to modify compared to the earlier mas air equipped cars. I read how the computer in the '95 doesn'nt respond as well as earlier ones. Initially I plan on doing all the bolt ons to wake the car up along with some gears. Later I might have plans for more displacement or boost, which brings me to my next question. Ford dropped the 351 into a very limited number of Mustangs in '95, so technically if I did this swap, as long as the new powerplant was the same year as the car or newer it would be legal right? Just thinking ahead so if I was to ever get pulled I could point out that it was a legal swap. All your replies are welcomed.

You might at some point, but life is full of regrets....I would say that if
you go into it knowing right off the bat, that gas mileage is not an issue, it only leaves the
fun factor....I hope you get your stang.

i have a heavily modified 94 (same thing) the only problems i have had was trying to install the 30# injectors and granatelly maf. to go that big you will need to have a chip made for the car its $289.00.. and if you do more modifications youll need a new one.. its a great car. a real head turner. but if your going to do super heavy modifications save it all anddo it all at once! any other q's pm me

I agree with many here, they're relatively inexpensive and still offer newer styling than the fox. Dont buy it if ur looking to have a fast car out of the box, but they can be modded fairly simple to run really nice.

i think the computer in them is easier to tune than the earlier ones. since it controls more aspects of the engine, you can use a tuner or have a chip burned for it to have its best performance.
as for the 351 swap, it would probably be legal if all the emissions crap was there. but you'd probably still have to have your computer tuned to get it to work. it also wouldnt be legal without the EFI. so you'd definatly have to tune the computer.
