Default Injectors are the worth it?

Ok I wanna get a 76mm MAF from C&L and i also wanna get some 24# injectors? I just read a thread sayin 24's arnt worth it unless u have 300hp. I dont buut im also gonna get a cobra intake and a bottle. Will the car run like crap until its on the bottle?

What little experience I have says not to do it unless you do a couple of things right after the 24lbs iinj\meter swap.....
1)Make sure you have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator installed
2)Go to a dyno shop & find out what the fuel curve looks like. Between pulls; they\you can experiment with fuel pressure to find the best setting & make sure you are not going to run fat all the time....
3)Custom burning a chip would be a wise investment. The "tuner" can dial in the air to fuel tables in the EEC to make your car & "smooth" out any problem areas that affect driveability. With the "flip chip" option, (toggle switch to choose between several specific tunes); you can have a nitrous tune(where the timing is backed off in the EEC & fuel tables altered to a fatter setting), the safe street tune, & a stock or "race" tune(race tune might have a higher basetiming & advance set for when you put 110 unleaded VP in it).

This is what i had done to my car by the way(but i do have the parts to need 24lbs injectors though)....

I think you'll be fine. Cobras run perfect and have nowhere near 300hp. I'd get the 24s and that way it'll give you some room to grow into em. Better to tune parts down than max parts out.

Although normally true; I've seen several cases where young guy's have made this mod & ruined good motors. They did the "Cobra conversion" on thier mild motors(headers, Cobra intake, etc) & knew they were running rich. They ignored the fumes & worse driveability instead of adressing the issue. In short order; they washed the cylinder bores out... So.... I'm not saying it can't be done; I'm saying it can be done, expect to have to spend a few more $$, & make sure you do it the right way.....

i think thats a good point, it would be smart to get it tuned. However, if you're upgrading the MAF you might as well upgrade the injectors too. I'd still recommend going with 24lbers.

Absolutely!
I just think he should consider collecting the parts until the motor is ready to meet them.....

im no expert on the subject but with his mods, a cobra intake and maf i think the stock injectors are no where near being tapped out to require 24's. even with a bottle depending on was shot he still should be good. i think it would be a waste.
