Problem finally solved... I did what u said grimace5.0 I used that thread sealer stuff, and yes loc-tight does make it, and it does come in a little white tube, and it worked just great man. But before I put the bolt back on, I cleaned out the hole where the bolt goes thru, there was a bunch of brown gunky Sh** in there and that is the reason why the bolt wouldn't grab. So I cleaned it out with a screw driver, put the thread sealer on the bolt, and it bolted right up, then I just added water instead of coolant since it's not winter time I heard u can use water. Started the car right up and no sign off leaks or drips... I want to thank you all for posting here and helping me solve the problem, u guy's rock! [sm=icon_rock.gif]

Yes I am very greatful for all the help. You guy's are great help! [sm=smiley20.gif] I ended up draining the water out of the radiator, and replacing it with Anti-Freeze. I then let the car warm up until the Needle was pointed at 190*F which was the normal operating temp on the temp gauge on the aftermarket gauge pod, then it started to read a little higher than usual which was reading between 210*F to about 215*F, now Im assuming that maybe the thermostat was sticking? Can anyone tell me if that's may be true or it could be something else? Im pretty sure it is, but the needle ended up going back down to 190*F and ran fine for the remaining time I had the car running... Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guy's.

hey man what size thermostat did u use?.. sometimes if u use like a 190 the temp gauge will go up to 190 n then drop down .. but i dout u used a 200 210 thermostat lol.. but just see if its sticking .. 210 isnt real bad but its not too good if u drive the car ever day like i do mine i got a 180 in mine.. n its a 347stroker

if you drained the cooling system, there might be a bubble or two running around that'll cause the temp to jump from what i've read in other posts

not sure what size thermostat Is in there never replaced it. I also mentioned that it went up to 210*F to about 215*F then dropped back to normal operating temp which has been normal to me since I got the car to always read 190*F.

Old thread but, to answer your question ikeybmg I bought an antifreeze that was pre-mixed 50-50 so it's all good, not having any coolant problems and everything is running the way it should "coolant wise". Thanks everyone for the info. I know it's an old thread but figured I'd answer anyways. Peace. ;-)

I have never had to use sealer on my bolts so if you do and it fixes it then you are masking the problem. Are you saying that the bolt or bolt hole treads are not grabing as soon as they should or that maybe you have some stripped threads???? If your threads are stripped in the block then you should use a tap and die and install a heli coil or if it is the bolt just replace that.

masking the problem my ***. a threaded bolt doesnt provide an air tight seal. therefor water can pass through it. i always use sealer on intakes and waterpumps, it covers your *** for comebacks
