One thing leads to another!..

One thing leads to another!..
I started working on the Notch this week. I wanted to get the Pullly's, March Ram Air system installed. Also the car needed a Thermostat.
SO,
I got the stock fan out of the way, and decided I may as well install an Electric fan, so I got one of those.
Once I saw the pully's I decided that I may as well get rid orf the Smog Pump, and all related stuff,...so that gone,..
I had a tranny cooler sitting around, so that may as well get installed,...
Good time to give it a tune up, don't know when that happened last, so I now have Accell 8.8 wires, cap and rotor along with Auotlite plugs to install,
May as well upgrade the coil too,...got an Accell,...
THEN one of my customers said he had a pair of BBK Shorty headers,...$70.00 later I got em,..
While removing the stock headers, plugs, and smog stuff, I see that I need MOTOR MOUNTS!
The motor mounts are in, the Headers are just about in, smog stuff is gone, pully's are installed, Thermostat is in, So what was going to be a day project, is now taking a little longer. I should have it back on the road by Tuesday or Wednessdy.
Hope it is a little quicker than it was, I will do some more runs with the G-tec Meter and see what improvments it made.
Later,

RE: One thing leads to another!..
looks like you caught the mod bug
I really am looking forward to getting the Notch back on the road and see how it performs after all of this work. I did some base runs with the G-Tec Meter so I have a base line and I will be able to see the improvments, instead of just saying "it Feels Faster"...
Next thing will be 4:10's and then work on the tranny. Better shifting and a Stall Converter.
I am able to do all of these upgrades thanks to this site and the search function. It has been great source of information so Thanks to all!

exactly... i have gotten my car to the point where i am happy with its performance, however it still needs a little bit more. I'm still rocking 3.08 gears, so im thinking a set of 3.55's or 3.73s will be coming soon. along with a new fuel pump and adjustable regulator (since my dyno a/f rations were so damn high). And after I have the fuel situation settled.. Time for an MSD and a 2 step controller
