5.0L into a 99 V6????
 

I am looking to get the 302 5.0L engine with 345HP and put it in a 99 V6... what all would i have to do to the suspension to make this work well. I figure i might just have to buy a 99 GT and do the swap. What would be the best thing to do?

the easier swap would be the GT swap as the rear end is already beefed up for a V8 and so are the brakes and suspension.

Don't get rid of the 4.6....Get a GT keep motor and either SC or Turbo it. Don't like that? Get a 4.6 4vER Cobra motor swap that in then HP Performance Turbo kit and whatever else you want. People say that it's illegal to put a motor in a car that wasn't offered in the car. 95 was last year of the 5.0 in cars so I guess that would kind of leave your 99 out of that equation.

Personally get a 4.6 Cobra motor and put some boost to it. It will be all you need I am willing to bet.

putting a 5.0 in a 99 mustang would be NO FUN....just put the 4.6 from a 99+ mustang, to save serious headache

Illegal to put a motor in a car that wasnt offered with the car?? Motor police better get on the ball, I saw 2 Fiero's with caddy northstars in em last weekend.
