Default Newbie Q's about 94 GT, any help appreciated...

At the moment, I am driving a 90 Hatchback Mustang, with the 2.3 in it. And i am getting like 17 to the gallon. Which is a waste of money considering i have no power to back it up. My cousins roomate has a 94 GT with around 90k on the clock he wants to sell considering he can't get his lisence back. Its stock from what my cousin says and i was wnodering how the build of the 94's were and how are they on gas? I understand these are very newbie questions but i'm not so mechinically enhanced. It also is a 5 speed...Any first hand experiance on these cars is greatly appreciated...Thank you very much

I just got 18 mpg the other day and I don't drive conservatively all of the time.
I have 93k miles on mine, 20k miles with the supercharger in it.
The car is fun too work on and a blast to drive!

wow...i have 4.10's in my '93 notch and just knocked down 21 mpg on the freeway. and yes the speedo's corrected

typically expect 15-18 in the city and 21-24 on the freeway.

kep it tame and it'll get better mileage than a v6

Thanks for the help. Hows is the reliability of these cars? I realize it will be better than my 2.3, atleast i hope...lol. I'm basically looking for a decently fast car that can MAYBE get high 13's and be happy with low 14's. I'm not looking for a 11 second drag car. just something to have some fun with.

Well, if you get it. Do your minor bolt on's w/ gears and you will achieve them times. 5.0's are realiable if you take care of them. If they are beat on; just like any other car they will start to fall apart piece by piece.

How many miles are on this car?

From what i remember, he showed me the inside and it said like 92k or so. But it definitly seems taken care of. He garages it every winter he's had it, and it is still stock which make me thinks he hasnt driven it to hard. My cousin said he has spent more time waxing it rather than racing it. He has an audio system all decked out in it so i figure it was used more so for a chick magnet

^^ Having it garaged, stock, etc. are all good signs. And the mileage is pretty low. I would go for it!

I have the 95, but basically the same I think. Last I checked got 25 mpg. Get on it at times but don't really abuse it. Had a 302 in comet gt years ago and the motor is a good reliable easy to work on engine. Don't have any times to report, but really lays you back in the seat if you want.

Mac shorty headers
H pipe to Flowmaster 40 Delta Mufflers to mandrel bent 2 and1/2 inch over the axle out to 3 inch Stainless Tips.
Cold Air Intake
Other than that, Stock.
57000 Miles

Picture is before exhaust upgrade.
