no one has traction in the rain silly seriously though, they spin really easy in the rain.
I was thinking the same thing. I can't give any throttle in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in the rain; unless I like fishtailing. Stops on a dime though.

torquey engines on wet pavement is just bad news if you're looking for traction. despite having awesome tires, i still wouldnt rip it even if the floor was damp

I got the KDWS on my probe GT, they works AWESOME in the rain. Its been raining here for like 10 days straight, didnt slide it once, I had Michelin HX MXM4's on there before and when it would rain I was all over the place slidin around. On my stang Im runnin Dunlop SP8000, theyre discontinued, replaced by the SP9000's. When I got my 8000's they were the best rain tire available, they have AWESOME traction on dry roads too. Stay away from Goodyears they suck, all the sets of goodyears Ive had SUCK in the rain (gatorbacks, GSC's). Goodyear=Bad day.

Here are the tires I have on the back. They are actually a snow tire that I put on because I thought I may have to drive in the snow once and a great while. I didn't end up having to. They are Dunlop Gaspic DS-1. I think they are a semi-hard compound but are cross cut and I get good traction on the dry roads, real good actually. They wear really good . Ihave been trying to smoke them off forever so I can get 245/50/16's. When it rains, look out!, cause it feels like I'm in snow, lol. I mean it I feel for ya man. I have to be real careful when it rains and it's real bad if I pass someone on the highway. If it down shifts it's nuts I am sideways bigtime! I can't hardly leave from a stop sign without spinning in rain being careful on the gas! I do know what your going threw.
Ohh and I have 4:10's

I had a set of Sumitomo HTR+ tires on my old wheels and never had any problems in the rain... 90 mph down the highway... no hydroplaning

Also, the Toyo Prozes Fz4's that I have on my Probe GT are EXCELLENT in wet weather... handles just like its dry out

see, thats what I mean,I'm sure most of you can't rip to hard without it commimg loose, but then I hear this,I definetly don't have to try hard to go sidways,it comes loose way to easy, the reason I'm asking is,my buddy has a 06 gt,he can basicly floor it without loosing traction, total diferent car I know, but he used to have a 91 gt,and he said it was almost the same way,I want to find some good tires,so it will minimise the loss of traction because it rains alot out here..

You guys need wider wheels....my 17x9s barely slip in the rain, even with the fact that my nitto drag radials are BALD!

My current tires are Goodyear Eagle RSA's. They are pretty good in the rain. Never hydroplaned on the highway and I drove it pretty fast in a heavy rain storm to find out. At a stop light though i spin the tires easily. But after I replaced my upper rear control arms with Ford Racing ones rain traction form a stand still greatly improved. Dry traction is absolutely awesome with these tires since I drive through a lot of twists and turns on side roads. Very pricey though. My next tire might be Toyo proxes because I drive in the snow too and the goodyear rsa's dont like snow too much. Just have to speed up carefully in the snow!
