I had Nitto 555s that were fine in the rain but dryrotted in like a year (not the DRs), if u want a tire amazing in the rain check the Dunlop SP Sport 9000s They're pricey but you can hit a puddle at 90+ and not hydroplane. I dont like mine b/c i never drive my car in the rain but thats what came on the rims. Most tires should do okay in the rain, check tirerack for ratings...

I run a set of Dunlop SP sport 9000's and I could not be happier with them! I get great traction in water and sand! My car is a DD and it rains here all the time and I have yet to spin the tires or kick her sideways.

If im leaving a parking lot, and turning Ill get on it half way into the turn and wont spin. I love them!

i got the toyo TS-1's and the grip in the rain is phenomenal.... not that i would take a cuve at 80 mph but ive exaggerated ona curve once (very wide) and ya great!

Default RE: tires..

Yesterday it rained here. Ive never had great traction in the rain with my BFGoodrich Comp T/A's on the back, but never had any real problems. I let alot of pressure out when it rains to get better traction. But yesterday i scared myself. I was getting on the highwyy and no one was getting over like they're suppost to, so this dodge truck is just driving along side of me and im running out of on ramp. So im in 4th and i drop it to 3rd im going about 55ish. As soon as i pop the clutch out and get on the gas, the whole damn cars *** end goes ape ****. I put it in 4th really quick and it does it again, i then slow down and put it in 5th and its fine again....and it was barely wet out side. Nerve racking.
