Mine has two ribs on the bottom of the tube and it looked like it wasn't all the way in b/c I could see the one rib....take a closer look at it and see if this is your problem. Also, if you know about how much oil you had in there before, check that and see if it looks the same.

Yeah, I can still see two ribs on the bottom of the dipstick tube. Is one rib supposed to somehow fit into the block and the top rib stick out?

When it is put in all the way, I can still see one rib, the other is in the block.
