Default my 89 5.0

Ok... well not to long ago i got a 89 5.0 from a friend for $800 and I really want to make it a nice car that u could drive every day so i kinda want to make fast but it needs some work it has a nice hood with a big scoop (ya im a new to all this) but its runs a little ****y i'm getting another job so ill have a little extra cash so nows my chance to do fix it up from what i know it has a trany leek it leaks antifrez and i know it has a lot more power then it acts like it has and i have another car i drive every day so i just want to strip this sexy *** mustang and make it nice so if anyone could let me know what i should do please let me know

1)Fix everything that is bad or leaking. Buy a Chiltons or Hayes Mustang repair manual at the parts store. Pull the wheels on one side & inspect the brakes. Go over the car with a fine tooth comb & make it a solid driver.....
2)Find as many tech articals as you can on the web & in older fox-body Mustang magazines like MM&FF. www.fordmuscle.com has some great foxbody articals (project car section).like,"How to run 13's the easy way", etc. Tech articals on every modification you can think of.
3) After arming yourself with some knowledge; make a plan. Make sure it is the direction you want to go. If you change course half way through; it'll cost you more $$$.....

Get yourself a brake bleeder kit and flush out all the old crappy brake fluid. I just got an 89 and the brakes were horrible, soon as i flushed the system they worked alot better.
