foglights

i had read in another post that cutting the blue with black tracer, and tieing it to the brown with light brown tracer will allow my fogs to be on without headlights. well i was under the dash yesterday and i cant seem to find the brown with light brown tracer. is there a chance my 86 might be different?

do not F with that stuff man... wiring just needs to be left stock... don't screw around with it... that's why i'm at where i'm at... cause some joker decided it would be a good idea to customize the whole damn thing....

I wish that everybody felt the same way you two previous posters do about cutting the original harness. I have owned so many cars that have been hacked up by the previous owners that I usually have to order all new harness'. On the 95 Mustang it's as simple as switching two wires in the center console, without cutting! I absolutely love that fact. If you can find a way to do it without cutting wires and splicing, that would be the only way that I would attempt to perform this mod.

in your 86 you should be able to turn the parking lights on and the fog lights should turn on thats how it work in my 84 i know my friends 95 the fog lights only go on when the driving lights are on

Be careful with moddifying when the foglights come on. I live in VA, and if the foglights come on with the high beams, it won't pass inspection. I think there are some other rules too. Just something to think about.

And I agree with sgt_pepper17, a stock harness is something to leave the way it is. Nothing will ruin your day quicker than a car with electrical problems.

Guys... were talking about cutting wires to the foglights. Were not talking about taking the dash out and just start cutting.... be for real.
