I need help quick. I'm doing an engine swap at the moment. I'm going from a 2.3 to a 5.0 cobra, I need to know if it is ok if I keep my shocks/springs all of that. Or do I need to convert the shocks as well. I'm taking all of the parts off of a wrecked car I bought, everything is cool except the back bumper. I am about to sell the wrecked car and I need to know if I need to go ahead and get the suspension out.

the 2.3 front springs are better than the stock 5.0's

not sure about the rest, im sure theres going to be some adjusting since the 5.0 weighs twice as much if not more than the 2.3

no but you do need to get that 8.8 rear from the 5.0

One more question,

Both cars have 4 lugs, is there a way the person who had it previously could have rigged the 8.8" on a 4 lug?

upto 1993 they were 4 lug
the front spring will give better wt transfer and lower the front engine about 1.25"
