does anyone know if you can get a roots-type blower for a fuel injected 5.0?
and what its advantages would be ovewr a centrifugal unit?

Kenne belle makes a blower for the 5.0. i don't know about the power diff in the two..

kenne bells are way better than the roots. Never seen an eaton for a 5L. The advantage to the KB is that it gives full boost at 2k rpm, replaces the upper intake, self contained oil system, plus they sound sexy as hell

ha ha, quite the opposite!!!! Its a Twin-Screw Supercharger. i havn't seen any roots style for the 5.0L

the twin screw is more efficient but is quite similar to a roots, regardless the only roots I know of for the small block 302 is the old B&M one but its carbureted

roots are supposedly better for automatic 5.0s, maybe most automatics for that case, since the tranny won't stay in the powerband long enough for centrifugals to make their big power. roots make peak boost by around 2k while centrifugals make it at much higher due to it being dependent on engine rpms. roots are not as efficient as centrifugals so the centrifugals make higher power figures but then again, it comes as a trade off. roots is low to mid end grunt while the other is mid to top. if you have a manual trans. id go with a centrifugal . unless you got a manual valve body or something then... my question is, has anyone ever heard what a kenne bell sounds like on a 5.0? does it sound like the ones on 4.6 modulars (03 cobras, gt, etc.) i've heard some people say it sounds like a centrifugal and doesn't have the classic whine?
