Default 89 vert interior color question

I have a friend that just bought a nice 89 GT vert. 78,xxx miles and its white with white top. The interior is white leather lumbar seats with red ponys stitched in the seat where your back sets on the front seat. Hope that makes sense? The door panels are black and red with white leather in the middle. The dash is black and red. Ok, I have never seen one like this, is it factory? I havent really looked closely at verts till he bought his. Also, I noticed there is no running pony on the dash either or even a hole for one?

yes that was a color combo for that year, most had a black top with a black & red interior ( hideous imo )
the white ones with white tops had white interior with red.
took me forever to find mine without the hideous color combinations they used that year.

it is common for the glued on 25th anv. emblems to be gone, mine is, you can get new ones from 50resto.com

they put the 25th anv. badges on from mid 89 to mid 90, so actaully if your car was made
first part of 89 or 2nd half or 90 it wouldnt have one, but could still be called a 25th edition.
personally i consider all the 89's 25th anv. cause the car came out in 1964.
