there are now 3 reasons i want to slap you upside the head.

1. for not knowing how to gap spark plugs.
2. for using iridiums when you dont need them
3. for trying to gap an iridium with a plug gapper.

wtf clark!?

Iridiums can be handy on forced induction. Iridiums help burn the charge a little better. When you go big boost you gotta drop the heat range on your plugs one (and in wild examples even two) heat ranges. The colder plugs along with smaller gap with make your idle and low rpm performance more sluggish. Iridiums help bring this back. Not to mention they are harder to foul which is a slight issue on turbo cars.

harder to foul eh? i wish i still had the one i fouled. i'd send you a pic. the top of it was completly covered in carbon. the electrodes bridged together from the carbon. thats just cause i have bad rings on one piston though

i just think, for a n/a car with little to no mods, iridiums are a waste of money. they arent going to help you unless you have a forced induction application.

you cant gap them because the electrode is about as thick as a needle point, you'll break it when you stick the gapper in to see what size its at.

and i still wouldnt get the iridiums until you have the KB on the car. thats just me personally. my car ran like crap with iridiums in it. mine is n/a too though. if you're gonna gap them, be careful with them. dont want em to break
