K's to blow

RE: K's to blow
Will that be enough flow for a forced induction setup? I was actually thinking of a 408 stroker. Are there many problems with that motor? As of added friction and all that crap? Reliability is an issue.

i am just putting a 6 psi kenne bell on my 302, that alone without totally building up the engine is going to put me well over 300, add a built 351 to that, 9 psi pulley and theres no reason you cant make 500.

Do this....get a 351 Dart Block and a 427stroker kit from CHP. Then drop some Victor Jr heads on it, with a Victor Jr intake and a Demon 850 carb. Then go to Pro Charger or Kenne Belle or wherever and get you a blower that can push about 15psi. With a Tremec tranny or a G-force tranny with straight cut gears for strength. That'll be a little over your budget but hell. That combo with all the "little" things done to the motor like matching everything....that should be like...Mmmm....850-950 right there. You can kick anybodys *** with that easily and with that small block 427...you got big block cubes, less than small block weight due to the aluminum heads. So you got the best of both. Big block torque...small block weight. And if im not mistaken with a Dart block...you can go way past 427...i think up to like 458 with a Dart block. That would easily eat anything you could find short of full out tube chassis dragsters.

Thats a good idea, I'd just go strait with a 460 and the setup that the guy on the first page said. One of my friends is doing it ,and I'm gonna start building my 460 in 2 months. For the money, its the best way to go by FAR. Kick out almost 700 to the wheels maybe more, then slap a 250 shot on that beast. Oh man, I can only imagine. And you may have money left to build the suspension which is going to be key in whatever set up you do. Good luck, and do what you want to do!

new dart blocks recomend .180 over i believe which with the stroker kit you can buy off the shelf for it makes its in the 480+ cu in range...the engine guy around here has heard of them going almost 500ci with the aftermarket blocks.

RE: K's to blow
the victor jr heads edelbrock makes are the more logical choice for a 351 blown engine. thay have the big 70cc combustion chambers to help lower your compression. they flow awesome too. and are like 500 cheaper then afr 205's. its really a no brainer huh?

What are some good heads for a 351 build with a blower on its top?
