something else i just noticed that i had overlooked was fords r302 block. its a bit cheaper and most people say its good for 1000+

and i was mostly just giving the sites because it was the first one that came up on the search, whatever block i do go with im gonna shop around and get the best price i can. most of the manufacturer pages dont list the price, which frickin irks me like no other
Well people looking at these blocks dont care about price they can afford it and they know it 2k+ As for the R302 block thats a siamese bore block which means there is no cooling between the cylinders, that adds much needed strength also that block has semi finished lifter bores and main bearing bores. Keep that in mind as that will cost another 500+ from the machine shop. Some places are cheaper, but cheap is not what you are after when spending 2k on a block.
